This replacement dipstick uses a socket versus an Allen wrench. It makes it easier to install/remove and seems less susceptible to stripping out. I like the new design.

A lot better than the old allen screw type design.

Must have upgrade from the allen head dip stick...…don't wait until it's to late. Speaking from experience!

I bought my 2012 JKUR with a RIPP S/C already installed. I change all fluids when I get a new to me vehicle. So the dipstick was mangled...I'm sure there's a better way, but I ended up love tapping a T40 socket into the what used to be a 3/16 or 1/4 allen head...I sprayed some Kroil and it broke loose. The new Hex Head design is the way to go.
