SUPERCHARGER

1) What does a RIPP Supercharger kit include?

All RIPP Supercharger systems come equipped with larger plug and play injectors (if required), a MAP sensor and a play tune through a Diablo Sport Programmer. These in addition to a 6-8 hour install make a RIPP Supercharger Kit the best choice for your vehicle. All kits come with all the necessary components you need for a safe installation.

2) Will a supercharger affect my engine in a negative way?

No. With well over 5,000 kits sold worldwide and over 300,000 miles of collective data logging, the short answer is NO (providing the system is correctly installed). RIPP has taken every precaution to ensure that your engine is running within safe parameters - we do not squeeze every last bit the engine to risk reliability.

3) Does a supercharger really deliver better gas mileage?

In short, you won't lose MPG, however that always depends on driving style and conditions. Typically clients will find 1 to 4 more MPG simply because we take advantage of both the extra air the supercharger provides as well as the boost. By properly programming the engine and transmission, we've been are able to extract more efficient fuel and timing mapping, yielding better MPG.

4) Will installing a supercharger void my manufacturer's warranty?

The short answer is yes. However, many dealers who have seen our system have actually become dealer/installers themselves. Though warranties vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, your expectations should be set going in.

5) Does a supercharger need tuning when I first receive it?

Most kits come with preinstalled calibrations that are ready to go out of the box. However, certain vehicles may require further dyno tuning as specified in the description of the product. All RIPP Supercharger kits come with a Diablo Sport tuner computer, which is pre-programmed with a proper base map or full calibration. We pride ourselves on our thoroughness; we know our clients can drive 2,000 miles from home to go into the middle of nowhere. Our engine mapping has been tested up to 14,000 feet of altitude, -20 below zero and 130+ degrees in the desert.
