The RIPP Pre-Filter is a specially designed filter wrap made to help extend the service interval of your washable air filter when used in very dusty conditions. They are made from durable polyester material containing uniform micron openings. The Pre-Filter will stop small dirt particles without adding restriction to the intake. Durable double stitching will make sure the Pre-Filter will stay in place. These air prefilters are also coated with a hydrophobic coating to resist water to prevent water splashes from being ingested through the air filter. A must for ALL RIPP Powered vehicles.
(Don't forget a fresh Air Filter or Filter Cleaner for your system.)

Just got this so this is not a long term review. It fits great on my 2008 JKU. It took a little stretching but I got it on with no tears or rips.

Sock is very nice and seems to work just fine.
LIKE THAT SOCK IS AT THE READY FOR OFF ROADING AND HEAVY RAIN STORMS .. MY experience with my Gladiator vented hood IS rain enters and runs unto hood heat pad then some water on super charger so sock is helping
