Great upgrade for my 2nd gen Toyota Tacoma base 4x4 2.7 liter! A little better gas mileage and adds a little pep to the previously sluggish acceleration. I added these coils, new plugs, LCE header, magnaflow catback, and HPS intake. This taco now screams!! Just buy these coils!

Easy and straight forward, was doing my plugs already and thought this would be a great add on. Truck runs so much smoother both at idle and accelerating.
Part was shipped and installed in a JDM toyota prado 19 TX with 2tr fe. Along with other mods I have, the ripp ignition coils did a fantastic job on their part. Throttle response has increased, no dead pedal points now. Fuel economy has also improved, helps car maintain cruise control at high speeds without car's transmission downshifting. Overall, i do recommend it as an upgrade with spark plugs(denso iridium tt in my case) compared to other mods along with an aftermarket header for this engine to power up.
Installed a set of RIPP coils on my 08 Tacoma 2.7 with 280k miles with the original coils. . It does idle super smooth now and I honestly picked up 2-3 MPG in mixed driving.

Toyota is the model. Too bad you don’t make more for a Tacoma. Anyhow. Really like the coil packs. They have seemed to make it run better and smoother. Like them so far would like to give them more time to really see if they improve fuel mileage much or not. They should though. Highly recommend Ripp products. The engine is smoother at idle , which indicates changes in flame front propagation. Before it was: "Lumpy" when at normal operating Temp. in S. Florida.... (I verified my Bat./charging system voltage; prior to installation.) I've yet to take it on a long Trip to check MPG vs standard coil. Thanks.
These coil packs were an easy install, and have really smoothed out the idle on the Toyota 2tr-fe engine and also added roughly 3 mpg to the fuel mileage. Definitely worth the swap.
These seem to have made the engine in my Taco run smoother and have also brought up my gas mileage by about 2.5 mpg on reg. 87 octane gas. I would highly recommend these coil packs.
I’m 61 years old. Every vehicle I’ve ever owned in my life since I started driving, I’ve installed a high energy ignition coil system such as these RIPP coils. And the reason is because I know there will be a noticeable improvement in power. Which was the case here on my 4cyl 2020 Taco! With me, it’s kind of like tinted windows, once you’ve had them on your vehicle, you’re never without them again on your future vehicles. Can’t wait to put a set of these coils on my 2018 TRD off-road manual trans… Wish I knew about these coils a lot earlier, but better late than never… ~Dane
There are not many power upgrades available for the 2.7l Taco besides a turbo, but this is a reasonable and affordable way to make your truck feel more peppy. I changed out my spark plugs, installed these coils, as well as delete the airbox inside the fender(Basically free cold air intake) and it feels more attentive, higher smother revs, and just gives me more confidence that I might stand a chance at beating a pruis in a drag race.

Definitely I notice a improve in general, pairing with a NGK laser iridium spark plug and cleaning of the throttle body and pedal commander (city +1 config), it feels more quiet and peppy reaches highway speeds more effortlessly than stock, slightly improve on mpg, Nice job RIPP!

Before installing performance coils on my 2019 Toyota 4 cylinder, I had a pedal commander installed. I have felt an increase in both power and fuel efficiency. Now I've notice that I could push my pedal with less throttle. Overall, this us worth the investment. In the near future, I plan to install an performance air filter to see if it will step up a notch:)

It took a few days for the computer to adjust to the new coils,, but wow, what a difference it made, it put life in to that 2.7, no more problems climbing my local hills, the engine isn’t screaming trying to maintain speeds,, best upgrade I have made
