How do we do it?!

Our coil pack is engineered from the ground up with higher quality materials and an increased amount of windings (turn ratio), providing a boost in millijoule power to the spark plug. With a stronger spark, cylinder flame speed is increased thus adding 15-20hp. With this increased power output, you can expect a more responsive throttle input and a better driving experience overall.           RIPP Technical information about cylinder Flame Speed and how an upgraded ignition system will directly effect power. 

          Internal combustion engines, "flame speed" refers to the rate at which the air-fuel mixture burns during the combustion process. This speed significantly impacts engine performance and efficiency. The faster the flame speed, the more efficiently the engine can extract energy from the fuel, resulting in increased cylinder pressure. When the spark is hotter, it ignites the air-fuel mixture more rapidly, leading to faster combustion, and an increase in pressure. Higher cylinder pressure = more torque to push down on the piston.

          As the flame front propagates faster across the combustion chamber, the fuel burns more efficiently, releasing more energy. This, in turn, enhances the engine's power and responsiveness. Additionally, with a faster flame speed, the combustion process is completed sooner, reducing the chance of incomplete burn or unburned hydrocarbons being released into the exhaust gases.

          In summary, optimizing the flame speed by utilizing more spark energy can significantly improve engine performance. It enables the engine to operate more efficiently, delivering increased power output, improved fuel economy.

          My vehicle was at the mileage where I needed to replace the plugs so I went with the whole kit being manifold has to be removed. Notice a huge gain in the lower rpm from 2500 and up. Throttle response is immediately and would recommend to anyone replacing these parts to do both at the same time. Great product.

          These run great in my 2023 Durango! ---------------------------------- On the Durango you have to remove the air intake from the passenger side of the motor. So give yourself a couple hours. And don't forget to change the intake gaskets and plugs when your in there.

          2021 Grand Cherokee V6. I got the coil pack and Spark plug upgrade. great packaging. disassembly of the intake was challenging, but the instructions were good. easy to install. plug and play. after install, she ran faster for sure. I tow a 6,000 lb boat, motor, trailer. pulls great. thanks guys!

          These weren't the easiest to get to on my 17' wk2 Laredo, but it wasn't horrible. Everyone suggested to get the ngk plugs so I did. Installed my CAI as well while everything was apart. I've had it all together now for 3 whole days almost 4 and wat I've noticed is it dogs a bit deeper on the low end. Raced my buddies stock 16' terrain Denali (which actually has a higher hp rating of 305hp) and I literally walked off and left him. We raced once before and it was pretty close so now i know they aren't full of it when they say you do get some gains.

          Just installed them today on my 2021 Grand Cherokee. Took me about 5 hours to do. This was not easy. Removing/replacing the EGR is what took the longest. One of the plastic lock clips from the connector broke and shot toward the intake valves. Found it later in the shop towels. Took a test drive and noticed improved throttle response immediately. We’ll see what the performance and fuel mileage is in the coming weeks.

          I have a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 3.6 I put the RIPP Hot Coil packs in my Jeep its a Great coil, well made and Seriously Love them!!! My Jeep runs smoother and I went from 20.5 mpg combined to 21.7 so solid mile per gallon gain!! And love how smooth the engine feels! Huge plus!!

          It’s still the same engine, so didn’t make it a hemi, but it does work smoother (like what you would expect when replacing coil packs and spark plugs, what I did). It seems like in the upper rev range 4-6k rpm the weak spot has been eliminated. Hard to explain, it doesn’t feel much more powerful, but it pulls more like it should from the beginning up to high rpms, where previously it was lagging after 4k rpm. It definitely made some difference, but that 10hp would be the most it could be I suppose. I guess it is worth it if you’re doing a spark plug change at the same time. Mine at 70k miles looked like they were on their way out already, so I’m glad I did it. It wad a lot of work, and the instructions came for a wrangler, which are not the same as for Grand Cherokee, so I think this is being overlooked, because I had hard time finding information for 2016+ GC, ended up helping myself with YouTube videos.

          Install was fairly easy even with the wrong vehicle instructions. Same engine so the pics helped. The coils eliminated the weak spot in the acceleration. Power curve is much smoother. Very surprised with the results.

          Installation was pretty straight forward. Though the instructions that came in package was for a Jeep and the intake manifold is designed different to the Durango. Though an online video on YouTube clarified where all the bolts were. I should have taken video/pics during my process. It was raining at the time of install. As far as performance, some notable gains after install. Smoother at idle, some power gain on acceleration and freeway when going up hills. I did notice some MPG improvement, ~2mpg.

          I like it, install was medium difficulty due to difficult access for upper manifold and instructions didn't adress the shallow upper bolt that doesn't come out. (Make sure to lift bolt as not to damage your manifold.) But other than that, they do seem to perform better.

          These work for the 2017+ Chrysler Pacifica!! Make sure to get the 3 wire connection coils. Increased gas mileage and engine runs smoother at idle than with oem coils. Unsure if power has increased but shifting feels smoother and engine is more responsive when passing or under heavier acceleration.

I have yet to install as I am on deployment; however I will update in the next 2 months as i should be home in the next 6weeks. I did take the other reviewers advice and got the spark plugs to complement the coils. I will be install into the 2018 Durango GT Plus AWD
